MK Dr. Yuri Shtern, of blessed memory, passed away before his time, at the peak of his career. Yuri was dedicated to the State of Israel and the Jewish people. His passing left his family, friends and Israeli society at a loss as his many endeavors were followed closely by individuals, organizations and communities from across the ideological and political spectrum.

The Yuri Shtern Foundation mission is to:
1. Initiate and oversee the commemoration Yuri's legacy
2. Provide financial support for projects promoting causes Yuri worked so diligently to promote.

Environmental Preservation in Israel
Recent years have seen a deterioration and degradation of the environmental quality of the unique treasures of the Land of Israel. The Yuri Shtern Foundation will support projects that benefit the preservation and restoration of Israel’s natural treasures and historic landscape.

Promoting the Integration of Immigrants into Israeli Society
Because the absorption of immigrants into Israeli society has been officially handled so poorly, recent years have seen an alarming rate of immigrants returning to their countries of origin. The Yuri Shtern Foundation will support immigrant initiatives in the fields of arts and sciences that contribute to the development of Israeli society.
